Awards

The first three finishers in each age group in each event will receive gold, silver, and bronze 2025 USATF Masters Indoor Championships medals respectively.

USATF individual event champions will also receive a championship patch. Only one patch will be awarded to an individual athlete regardless of how many events that athlete wins. Members of championship relay teams do not receive patches.

The fourth through eighth place finishers in each event will receive a USATF Masters Championship ribbon.

Non-US Citizens are not eligible to displace US Citizens or USA affiliated athletes for awards or to score points in the club competition.

Awards may be picked up at the Awards table. Awards may be picked up no earlier than one hour after the completion of the event. Medals will not be mailed to the athletes who fail to pick up their medals after their events.

Team Championship

Team trophies will be presented to the top three scoring teams in the men’s, women’s and combined (men and women) categories. Points are awarded as follows:
  • 1st place – 8 points
  • 2nd place – 6 points
  • 3rd place – 4 points
  • 4th place – 3 points
  • 5th place – 2 points
  • 6th place – 1 point
Team trophy presentations will take place in the infield at the conclusion of the meet.

Bib Numbers

You will receive your bibs at the packet pickup location in the Milton Frank Stadium, during the listed packet pickup times (see Packet Pickup). All track and road athletes must wear their bibs both on their front and back (the bib on the back must include the athlete’s age division) during all competitions. Field event athletes have the choice of wearing their numbered bib on either the front or back.

Eligibility Requirements

General

All eligible members of USATF and eligible members of other World Masters Athletics (WMA) Masters Affiliates may compete in these Championships. However, only U.S. citizens and athletes eligible to compete for the USA in international competitions may score or win Championship medals; all athletes not eligible to compete for the USA will receive equivalent awards.

Qualifying Standards

There are no qualifying standards for this competition.

Age Divisions

Athletes must be 25 years or older on July 17, 2025. Individual and relay competitions will be conducted in five-year age divisions. Please note that this is a Masters meet following Masters, not Open, rules. i.e., the hurdles for Men 25-49 will be 39 inches (Open Men use 42 inches).

USATF Membership

All athletes must be 2025 members of USATF (or other WMA Masters Affiliate) in good standing. USATF memberships may be purchased online. Non-U.S. citizens must be eligible members of their nation’s World Masters Athletics Masters Member.

Club Scoring & Athlete Representation

All clubs must be 2025 USATF member organizations to score team points and athletes must have that club listed in their USATF profile when entering these Championships. Find your local association here.

Relays

Club and non-club relay teams shall be separate divisions. USATF Competition Rule 332.2(g) details the definitions for both club and non-club relay teams. Only U.S. citizens and USA affiliated athletes may be members of club relay teams.

Date of birth verification

Proof of date of birth will be required from all competitors in advance. See the Verification of Age section on the entry information page for more details.

General Entry Information

You must be a 2025 USATF member to enter the Championships. If you do not have a 2025 membership, please complete a membership application first. You must also meet the eligibility requirements.

Entry Process

  • Member athletes in good standing of USATF or of other WMA recognized Masters affiliates are eligible to compete. Non-USA affiliated athletes cannot displace USA affiliated athletes for places and cannot score team points. At least 2/3 of the athletes who advance to finals must be athletes who are USA affiliated as determined by WMA.
  • A 2025 USATF membership is required for USA affiliated athletes to enter online (please join online if you are not a member). Non-USA affiliated athletes must present evidence that they are members in good standing of their appropriate WMA Masters Member. Letters attesting to their status should be addressed to Robert Thomas, Chair, USATF Masters Track & Field Committee at mtfchair@usatf.org.
  • To enter online without an entry mark, put NT or NM in the Mark box during the entry process.
  • Help is available for those athletes who need assistance with the entry process. For assistance, call the USATF National Office Customer Service at 317-261-0500 during normal business hours, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET Monday – Friday.
