USATF Coaching Education presents a 10-hour course specific to the discipline of cross country. Originally adapted from USATF Legend Coach, Dr. Joe Vigil, the seasonal course (offered June-August) provides essential knowledge and expert tips on how to build a championship program. To earn your USATF Cross Country Specialist certificate, attendance at all sessions and a passing score of 80% or higher on the final exam are required. Access to the self-paced lessons and course materials are provided immediately upon enrollment via USATF Campus.

Prior coaching education or exercise science background is helpful but not required to register.
No recertification requirements are currently in effect for USATF Specialist certificate holders (subject to change).
