Entry Information

You must be a 2023 USATF member to enter the Championships.  If you do not have a 2023 membership, please complete a membership application first.  You must also meet the eligibility requirements.  NOTE: If you are a multi-year member through at least 2023 you may enter using your 2023 USATF membership number.

Entry Process
  • Member athletes in good standing of USATF or of other WMA recognized masters affiliates are eligible to compete. Non-USA affiliated athletes cannot displace USA affiliated athletes for places, and cannot score team points. At least 2/3 of the athletes advanced to finals must be athletes who are USA affiliated as determined by WMA. The number of athletes advanced to finals may be increased, where feasible.
  • A 2023 USATF membership is required for USA affiliated athletes to enter online (please join online if you are not a member). Non-USA affiliated athletes must present evidence that they are members in good standing of their appropriate affiliation. Letters attesting to their status should be addressed to Jerry Bookin-Weiner, Chair, USATF Masters Track and Field Committee at mtfchair@usatf.org.
  • To enter online without an entry mark, put NT or NM in the Mark box during the entry process.
  • A Help Line is available for those athletes who need assistance with the entry process. For assistance, call the USATF National Office at 317-261-0500 during normal business hours, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm ET Monday – Friday.
  • After completing your entry, if the status of entries page indicates “info needed,” please upload a copy of your birth certificate or passport to your USATF Connect account. Detailed instructions on how to submit DOB documents to your USATF Connect account can be found here.

Relay Entries

Relay team forms are available and relay entries can be turned in at Packet Pick-up during Packet Pick-up hours from Wednesday to Saturday. The fee for relay team entries is $40 per team. Relay entries will close at 1:00 p.m. the day before the race with the exception of the 4x800m Relay which is due Thursday, July 20 at 11:00 a.m.

Athletes must be entered in the meet to compete on a relay team. Athletes who will only be entered in a relay may register online and select the “Relay Only” event. This will enter the athlete into a relay pool, that they can then register for a relay team later:

  1. Each member of the team must be registered for the Championship in either an individual event OR a Relay Only event. Note: the “Relay Only” event should NOT be selected if you are competing in an individual event. You should select this if you are competing in a relay only.
  2. If proof of age (copy of birth certificate or passport) is not on file with USATF; please follow the necessary steps to have this verified.
  3. All entries must be received by the deadline (on-time deadline is June 21, 2023; late entry deadline is June 28, 2023 and requires an additional payment of $50 per individual).

If an individual will be joining others to form a team and is not competing in any other events, the process described above still applies.

All members of club relay teams must be U.S. citizens or USA Affiliated Athletes for WMA purposes for the club relay team to score points in the team competition.
