The 2026 USATF 50 KM Trail Championships scheduled for August 15 at the Wy’East Trailfest was cancelled due to wildfires. Daybreak Racing remained committed to hosting a 2026 50 KM Trail Championship and offered an alternative event on their race calendar as a possible host. The championship will now be held on Saturday, October 3 at the Perpetua Coast 50 KM.
