All eligible members of USATF and eligible members of other IAAF member federations may compete in these Championships. However, only U.S. affiliated athletes according to WMA may score or win Championship medals; others will receive equivalent awards.
There are no qualifying standards for this competition.
Athletes must be 25 years or older on July 9, 2020. All competitions will be conducted in five-year age divisions.
All athletes must be 2020 members of USATF (or other WMA recognized affiliate) in good standing. USATF memberships may be purchased online, or through your local Association Office. Non-U.S. citizens who do not compete for the U.S. internationally must be eligible members of their WMA recognized member federation.
All clubs must be 2020 USATF member organizations to score team points and have athletes represent the club in these Championships.
Club and non-club relay teams shall be separate divisions. USATF Competition Rule 332.2(f) details the definitions for both club and non-club relay teams. Non-U.S. citizens who do not represent the U.S. in international competitions may not be members of club relay teams.
