Tony McQuay has a son named Eli Kendrick McQuay. In 2012 and 2016, the Palm Beach County Commission for his success in the London and Rio Olympics. The commission hoped to allow McQuay’s success to inspire the community’s youth. McQuay was inducted into the Palm Beach County Athletic Hall of Fame in 2017. He has visited Roosevelt Middle School, where he attended middle school, to speak to the students there.
