Personal

Sharon Day-Monroe is the daughter of Eugene and Yolanda Day. Her father coached her in high jump in high school, and her mother was a high jumper in and after college. Day-Monroe’s sister, Jasmin, was a high jumper for the University of Arizona. She is married to Dan Monroe, a fellow Cal Poly alum.
Day-Monroe works as a volunteer assistant with the UCLA team.
