  • Set the World Outdoor record on June 19, 2021 with a throw of 23.37m/76-8.25 that took down the Randy Barnes’ 1990 world record, adding 10 inches to that mark.
  • Set the World Indoor record on January 24, 2021 with a throw of 22.82m/74-10.5
  • Threw the greatest shot put series in Olympic history at the Tokyo Games and became only the third man to win back-to-back golds in the event. On his first throw, Crouser blasted an ​​Olympic record 22.83m/74-11 before coming close to his own world record in the final round with a massive 23.30m/76-5.5 to lead a 1-2 Team USATF finish for the second Games in a row.

  • On May 22, 2021, Ryan Crouser became the third best shot putter in history with a massive 23.01m/75-6. It was his 127th career throw of 22m or better, by far the most by any thrower in history.
  • In 2020, Crouser was undefeated in 10 shot put competitions and his 22.91m world-leading performance moved him to equal third on the world all-time list. He had 36 throws of 22m/72-2.5 or better, with 14 of those better than 22.56m/74-0, the highest total ever in a single year.
