As a collegian at the University of Pittsburgh, Kingdom won the NCAA Division I Outdoor 110m hurdles title in 1983, and the NCAA Indoor 55m hurdles crown in 1984. Kingdom, who was ranked #1 in the world on five occasions (1984-1985-1988-1989-1990) was the head track and field coach at California University (Pennsylvania), was hired as the assistant strength and conditioning coach for the NFL's Arizona Cardinals in 2014 and in 2019 joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a speed & conditioning coach.
