Erin Futch started hurdling competitively at age thirteen. In 2011, he placed first in the USATF Junior Outdoor Championships. Then in 2012, he was named the 2012 Gatorade Pennsylvania Boys Track and Field Athlete of the Year. Futch attended the University of Houston before transferring to the University of Florida. Futch participated in the “Climb for Cancer” event for children with cancer.
