Teahna Daniels is the daughter of Linda Latson and the late Wellice Daniels. She has seven siblings: Latonya, Dredhna, Ayana, Marcus Keith, John, and Eric. In high school, Daniels was a three-time varsity letter winner and a four-time FHSAA state champion. In her freshman year at the University of Texas, Daniels set a new American Junior record in the 60m at 7.11. She became the fastest freshman woman in NCAA history and the number five NCAA performer of all time.
