Morgan is a 1988 Olympian and a member of the 1987 World Championship team as race walker. He has been a consistent presence on USA National teams as an athlete from 1985-2004 and as a coach or manager from 2003 - 2016. In addition, Morgan has held various position with USATF including the USATF Alumni Vice President (2012-16), USATF AAC-USOC Representative (2008-12), USATF AAC Race Walk Event Chair and served as alternate to the USATF Board (2000-08).
