Michael Norman Headlines Latest Athlete Additions for Lone Star Grand Prix Fueled by 44 Farms

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Michael Norman’s comeback season will continue in College Station next month as the 2022 World champion headlines the latest athlete additions for the inaugural Lone Star Grand Prix Fueled by 44 Farms, set for June 6 at Texas A&M University. Tickets are on sale now.

Norman, who captured the 400m title at the LA Track Festival last weekend, is scheduled to contest the 200m in Texas. Norman, who spent most of 2025 recovering from injury, returned to competition this spring. He will take on a strong field that includes previously announced high school sensation Tate Taylor along with fellow Americans Brandon Carnes and Kyree King. Steven Gardiner has withdrawn from the meet.

Norman’s main event, the men’s 400m, features one of the deepest fields of the competition. Previously announced Olympic gold medalist Quincy Hall is slated to open his season this weekend at the Rabat Diamond League before heading to College Station. He’ll be joined by two-time Olympic 4x400m gold medalist Bryce Deadmon, recent World Relays mixed 4x400m gold medalist Brian Faust, 2023 world champion Antonio Watson, and Jamaican Olympian Roshawn Clarke.

The women’s 400m hurdles will bring Aggie legend Shamier Little back to Texas A&M. One of the most accomplished athletes in program history, Little won three consecutive NCAA titles in College Station and is a two-time World silver medalist. She’ll face Canadian record holder Savannah Sutherland, who claimed NCAA titles in 2022 and 2025 while competing for the University of Michigan. Sutherland set the NCAA record of 52.46 at last year’s championships in Eugene. Also entered are two-time World bronze medalist Rushell Clayton and 2025 NACAC champion Tia-Adana Belle (BAR).

In the field events, the men’s javelin will feature 2025 World bronze medalist Curtis Thompson. Thompson’s podium finish in Tokyo ended an 18-year World Championships medal drought in the event for the United States, and he enters the meet fresh off a victory at the USATF Tucson Throws Festival. He’ll be joined by two-time NCAA champion Marc Minichello.

Organized by USA Track & Field, the Lone Star Grand Prix Fueled by 44 Farms will be held Saturday, June 6, beginning at 2 p.m. CT at Texas A&M University. Tickets are on sale now, and the meet will be broadcast live on NBC from 3–5 p.m. CT. Media interested in covering the event can apply for credentials here.
