INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana — USA Track & Field is pleased to announce the upcoming Journey To Gold Indoor Track & Field Series, which offers high-level competition for professional athletes and Team USATF hopefuls with opportunities to acquire the much-coveted World Athletics rankings points. The Journey To Gold Series will include four meets across three cities. The events provide an opportunity for athletes to score higher World Athletics ranking points, which contribute to World Rankings and entry into international championship events. The series will kick off on Saturday, January 29 with one of two U.S. stops on the World Athletics Indoor Tour – the 114th Millrose Games hosted at The Armory in New York, New York. Nicknamed “The Fastest Track in the World,” The Armory will host the Dr. Sander Invitational Columbia Challenge on Saturday, February 5. Sunday, the following day on February 6, the World Athletics Indoor Tour will make a return to the States with the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island, New York. The final stop of the series comes in Spokane, Washington with the 2022 USATF Indoor Championships Presented by BD. Hosted in the new facility, The Podium, the Championships will take place February 26-27 and will serve as Team USATF’s qualifying meet for the World Athletics Indoor Championships to be contested March 18-20 in Belgrade, Serbia.
