Pole Vault Transfer Information

SHIPPING POLES

It is recommended to ship pole vault poles directly to: 

Icahn Stadium - Randall's Island Park Alliance
Attention: USATF Vaulting Pole Storage (Athlete Name)

Athletes shipping poles directly to Icahn Stadium must complete THIS FORM. 

Athletes shipping poles directly to Icahn Stadium must specify the shipment cannot arrive earlier than 9:00 AM on Monday, July 20. Shipments arriving prior to 9:00 AM on Monday, July 20 will not be accepted. 

POLE STORAGE

Poles may be stored at Vaulting Pole Storage (located on the south end of Icahn Stadium) from 12:00 PM on Monday, July 20 through 7:30 PM on Sunday, July 26. Poles that are not removed from storage by 7:30 PM on Sunday, July 26 must arrange a retrieval time with Laniqua Dinkins by calling (212) 860-1899. Unclaimed poles are the responsibility of the athlete. 

TRANSFER OF POLES FROM LAGUARDIA AIRPORT

To arrange transportation of vaulting poles to and from LaGuardia Airport, you must complete THIS FORM. This form must be completed by 5:00 PM ET on Sunday, July 19. 

The LOC will provide pole transfer service from/to LaGuardia Airport (LGA) starting Monday, July 20 through Monday, July 27. 

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING THE POLE VAULT TRANSFER SERVICE:

• Upon arrival at LaGuardia Airport and with poles in hand, text PV Coordinator Adrian Campbell at (773) 505-3720, then walk poles to curb and you will be met quickly by Outdoor Championship representatives to assist with loading and transport to Icahn Stadium. 
• The athlete must sign the Pole Declaration List located at the round visitor information desk.  Please be sure to fill out when you plan to arrive at the airport for your departure.
• Upon arriving at Icahn Stadium, your poles will be located at the south end of Icahn Stadium.
• ANY TRAVEL DAY OF CHALLENGES, flight changes or meet week questions please contact Adrian Campbell, Pole Vault Coordinator, at (773) 505-3720 or adrian_campbell21@yahoo.com 
• Adrian and his staff will create a departure sheet and communicate information to you or your agent/manager/coach with your pole departure/drop off plan back to LGA Airport.  
• If you have ANY questions at all, please do not hesitate to reach out to Adrian at any time!

Important Notes:

• Please allow up to three hours for poles to be transported to Icahn Stadium
• For any flight changes, delays or cancellations, please email Adrian Camplbell at adrian_campbell21@yahoo.com. 

RETRIEVING POLES FOR PRACTICE

Poles may be retrieved from Vaulting Pole Storage for practice at Icahn Stadium during practice times. Athletes may also access their poles anytime athlete areas at Icahn Stadium are open. 

Alternate arrangements for pole transfer will need to be made by the athlete for the following reasons:

• You require your poles in a shorter amount of time than 3 hours
• Your flight arrives at LaGuardia before 8:00 a.m. or after 9:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. PLEASE NOTE: Staff will track flights and remain late with flight number in case of all weather delays 
• Your flight departs LaGuardia Airport before 9:00 a.m. or after 9:00 p.m. on Sunday or Monday
