COVID-19 Protocols for the 2021 USATF National Club Cross Country Championships

Please read the entire page for details regarding CrowdPass.

Following CDC guidance and unless superseded by a local or state public health order, vaccinated individuals are not required to wear masks; non-vaccinated individuals and others must wear masks at all times in the facilities except when warming up, competing, eating, or drinking. Social distancing must be observed at all times.

All athletes and officials, as well as any volunteers who will have sustained direct contact with athletes (more than 15 minutes in a 24-hour period), must present one of the two options listed below:

OPTION 1

Evidence of a negative COVID-19 test, performed within 7 days of the event (No earlier than December 4, 2021). The test can be either a PCR test or an antigen test. An antibody test is not accepted as proof of a negative COVID-19 test. If used, at-home/self-tests must be FDA approved and must include a laboratory result confirmation.

OPTION 2

In the event any individuals have tested positive for COVID-19 within 90 days of the date of competition (September 12, 2021), they DO NOT have to present a negative COVID-19 test, and may still participate if all of the following criteria are present:

  1. It has been at least 14 days since the positive COVID-19 test (via PCR or antigen testing)
  2. It has been at least 24 hours with no fever without the use of fever reducing medicine
  3. Other symptoms of COVID-19 are resolved (except for loss of taste or smell, which may take longer to resolve)
USATF encourages all participants to follow CDC guidance on masking at the event.

These protocols are subject to change. Last updated 11/10/2021.

CrowdPass will be utilized to submit proof of negative COVID-19 test

All registrants will receive an email from CrowdPass requesting proof of a negative COVID-19 test be submitted.

CrowdPass notes:

  1. All tests must be taken on or after December 4, 2021.
  2. The CrowdPass system has an option for vaccine proof or negative test proof. All proof of vaccine uploads will be rejected. A negative test is required.
  3. If you have tested positive for COVID-19 within 90 days of the date of competition (September 12, 2021) you may upload proof of this under the proof of test section.
  4. The CrowdPass system says all tests must be taken within 72 hours of the event. This is a setting that can currently not be changed on their website. For this event, any negative test after December 4, 2021 will be accepted.
  5. If you have not received an email from CrowdPass by Monday, December 6th, please check your junk folder. If you still cannot find it, please email CrossCountry@usatf.org to resend it.
