  • Travel Allocations
    • USATF will provide an allocation of funds in support of travel, housing, and per diem, first to the Defending Champion from the previous year’s Championships if he/she is entered by the on-time entry deadline and has met the qualifying standard, and then to the four highest ranked performers if they are entered by the on-time entry deadline and qualified during the previous year (2020).
    • If the Defending Champion is not entered by the on-time entry deadline, the allocation of funds will then be provided to the five highest ranked performers, if entered by the on-time entry deadline and qualified during the previous year (2020).
    • There will also be a post-meet allocation available to those who had not received an allocation prior to the Championships, but who achieve a top-4 place finish at the Championships. The amount of these allocations will be the same as that for a pre-Championship allocation, and based on: 1) an airfare cost based on a 21-day advance w/ Saturday stay-over fare from the athlete’s (home) city of air travel and 2) a fixed amount towards housing & meals. Note that the allocation is not a total reimbursement of that athlete’s exact/full costs.
    • For athletes with remaining college eligibility, their checks will be made payable to their University or College, with a letter of notice sent to the Athletic Director. Athletes with remaining collegiate eligibility may not receive a post-meet allocation – as the NCAA and NAIA do not permit prize money = payments based on place finish.
