Irwin Belk Track is one of the premier outdoor track and field facilities in the southeast.
 
The multipurpose track and field facility, which opened in 2004, houses a 400-meter oval track with a Mondo Super X 14 mm surface—the same surface that has been used at the IAAF World Championships. Field event areas for this meet include a pole vault runway, a long/triple jump runway, three throw areas, two javelin throw runways, and two high jump pits.
 
The facility also includes a press box, Chancellor’s suite, luxury suites, training room and concessions.

Directions to Irwin Belk Track

 
Washington, D.C. (and points north): Take I-95 and I-85 South to I-40 West. Use the right 3 lanes to take exit 131 for I-40 West towards I-785 North. Continue on I-40 West and take exit 224 for East Lee Street toward US-29 North. Merge onto East Gate City Blvd (signs for US 29/NC 6/Greensboro). Turn right onto Lincoln Street, then Left onto Gorrell Street, then right onto O’Henry Blvd. Take the Sullivan Street exit, then a slight right toward Sullivan Street. Continue down Sullivan Street and the location (BB&T Stadium) is on your right.
 
Raleigh and Raleigh-Durham International Airport (and points east): Follow I-40 West all the way to Greensboro. Use the right 3 lanes to take exit 131 for I-40 West towards I-785 North. Next take exit 224 for East Lee Street toward US-29 North. Merge onto East Gate City Blvd (signs for US 29/NC 6/Greensboro). Charlotte (and points south): Follow I-85 North. Keep right at the fork to continue onto I-85 BL North. Take Exit 223 for US-29 N/US-70East/US-220 North towards Reidsville. Continue onto US-29 N/US-70 East/US-220 North, Take the Sullivan Street exit, then a slight right toward Sullivan Street. Continue down Sullivan Street and the location (A&T Stadium) is on your right.
 
Asheville (and points west) Follow I-40 East towards Statesville. Next take exit 223 US-29 N/US-70East/US-220 North towards Reidsville. Continue onto South O’Henry Blvd and then take the Sullivan Street Exit, take a slight right toward Sullivan street, and then turn right onto Sullivan street. Follow Sullivan Street and the location (A&T Stadium) is on your right.
 
Piedmont Triad International Airport: Head southeast on Ted Johnson Pkwy toward PTI dr. Turn left onto PTI drive, then left onto Ted Johnson Pkwy. Use the right two lanes to turn slightly right onto Ted Johnson Pkwy, then keep right to merge onto I-73. Take Exit toward Winston-Salem continue onto I-73. Use the right two lanes to take exit 103 B – A for I-40. Keep left at the fork follow signs for I-40 East and Merge onto I-40 East. Next take exit 223 US-29 N/US-70East/US-220 North towards Reidsville. Continue onto South O’Henry Blvd and then take the Sullivan Street Exit, take a slight right toward Sullivan street, and then turn right onto Sullivan street. Follow Sullivan Street and the location (A&T Stadium) is on your right. 
 
Charlotte Douglas International Airport: Head South on Josh Birmingham Pkwy, keep right on Old Dowd Rd. At the traffic circle take the first exit and stay on Old Dowd Rd. Turn Right onto Marshall dr., left onto Little Rock rd., left to stay on Little Rock rd., and then turn right onto the I-85 N ramp to Concord. Once on I-85 follow instructions from Charlotte (Found Above).
