Event Check-In
There will be separate check-in areas for running and field events. Athletes must check in at the designated areas 45 minutes prior events scheduled starting time or when the event is called. All athletes will be required to remain in the designated warm-up areas after checking in.
Warm-up Area
A 180 meter mondo warm-up loop warm-up is located on the first floor of the facility. Alternative options are Franklin D Roosevelt boardwalk and greenway which is located across from the Ocean Breeze Facility and stretches over 4 miles. Ocean Breeze Park also has over 5 miles of nature trails suitable for warm-up.
Spikes
Only ¼” pyramid spikes are allowed on mondo track surface. This will be strictly enforces and athletes may not be able to complete with any other type of spike on.

Event Results
During competition, event results will be posted in the atrium. Additionally, event results will be posted at

. Updated results, meet program, and heats information can also be found by downloading Active Meet Mobile in your app store.
Concession
A concession stand will be open during the meet offering a wide range of options for various dietary needs.
Implements Weigh-in
At the track 75 minutes prior before each event. Once an implement is weighed in it becomes property of the meet until the conclusion of the event and will be impounded. Any implement not meeting specifications will also be impounded until the conclusion of the competition.

Limited number of implements will be provided by meet management.
Seeding and Advancements
Seeds will be based on personal bests from the 2017 outdoor season or 2018 indoor season. All marks must be verified and available in Athletic.net to be used for seeds.
Per Rule 303.6 for all running events from 55m through 400m, there will be two rounds of competition. The eight fastest times in the 55m and 55hh, and the 6 fastest times in the 200m and 400m shall advance from the first round to the final in all age divisions.
The top 8 competitors in each field event shall advance to the finals of their age division.
Starting Blocks
Due to the anticipated increase number of participants, the Games Committee has determined that athletes 14 and under will not be permitted to use starting blocks in the preliminary rounds of the following events:

Opening Heights
Opening heights for the High Jump and Pole Vault will be three increments below the Youth Performance Guidelines. Incremental increases will be 5 cm in the High Jump and 15 cm in the Pole Vault. Please note that the games committee has the right to make adjustments to the opening heights at the close of entries.

FEES & ENTRY DEADLINES
Deadlines & Fees: On-Time: by March 5, 2018 (11:59 pm EST) $10.00/individual event $34.00 per relay
Youth competitions typically take place in two-year age divisions. These age divisions provide young athletes the opportunity to compete with other athletes of similar ability.

* Per USATF Rule 300.1 (c) “Athletes must be at least seven (7) years of age on December 31 of the current year to compete at the Youth Athletics or Junior Olympic National Championships.”
** Athletes who are still 18 through the final day of the USATF National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships are eligible to compete in the 17-18 age division through that meet. This extended eligibility does not apply to cross country events.
