You must be a 2016 USATF member to enter the Olympic Trials. If you do not have a 2016 membership, please complete a membership application first before attempting to enter the trials. You must also be a U.S. citizen and meet the eligibility requirements and qualifying standards.
Athletes may enter an event(s) even if they have not yet met the qualifying standard for that event(s). However, athletes will not be permitted to compete unless they have:
Proof of qualifying performance, if requested, must be submitted to USATF no later than (Wednesday June 22, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. ET). Any submittal received after this date will not be accepted. Please contact stats@usatf.org for verification procedures. USATF Rule 11.3(b) concerning adding athletes to make a competitive field, and USATF Rule 8 concerning automatic qualifications, will be used for the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials.
The entry fee for the Olympic Trials is $30 per athlete. There is no late entry period for the U.S. Olympic Trials (see entry appeals process below). These fees are entry fees and are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Online entries must be paid for by credit card or electronic funds transfer ("electronic check").
Athletes will receive a confirmation page at the end of the entry process; please print a copy of the entry confirmation as proof of entry. To check the status of your entry, including declarations, visit the Status of Entries page (statuses are updated hourly).
Once properly entered, all athletes must complete the declaration process.
Each athlete or his/her representative must declare whether that athlete will or will not compete in each event they have entered.
