Awards & Prize Money

Awards

A Gold Medal, emblematic of the Championships of the United States of America, will be given to the winner of each Championship event, a Silver Medal to second place, and Bronze Medals to both third and fourth places.

Prize Money

For the 2015 USATF Indoor Track & Field Championships, USATF will pay prize money to the first through fourth place finishers in each Championship event. The prize structure is as follows:

1st - $5,000
2nd - $3,000
3rd - $1,250
4th - $750

Notes

  • Athletes with remaining collegiate eligibility are not eligible to receive prize money.  However, please check with your university compliance department to see if you are eligible to receive this prize money according to NCAA rules.

  • Athletes are eligible to receive prize money in more than one event.

  • Athletes who are eligible to receive prize money will receive their checks via mail (U.S. Postal Service) but only after all drug testing results from USADA have become final. It can take anywhere from 6-8 weeks after the last day of competition for USATF to receive these results.

  • Please make sure your mailing address is up-to-date under your USATF membership profile so there is no delay in you receiving your payment.

  • Athletes who are eligible to receive prize money for this event are required to complete the following IRS W-9 form :IRS Form W-9: Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification (PDF, via IRS.gov).  When submitting W-9’s via fax (fax number:317-261-0514) attach a cover page with the following information:

Event Shuttle

An event shuttle will be provided from the Boston Marriott Copley Hotel.  The buses will leave at the top of the hour from Boston Marriott Copley and bottom of the hour from the Reggie Lewis Center.

  • Wednesday, February 25th: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (run as necessary)
  • Thursday, February 26th: 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM (running every hour)
  • Friday, February 27th:  7:00 AM- 3:00 PM (running every hour)
  • Saturday, February 28th: 7:00 AM- 9:30 PM (running every hour)
  • Sunday, March 1st: 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM (running every hour)

Practice Schedule

Shuttle transportation will be provided from the Boston Marriott Copley to the Reggie Lewis Center and Harvard University.  Times will be posted in the lobby of the Boston Marriott Copley.

Reggie Lewis Center

Wednesday, February 25
• All Events   9:00am – 1:00pm
• Weight Throw    11:00am – 12:00pm
• Shot Put    12:00pm – 1:00pm

Thursday, February 26
• All Events    10:00am – 4:00pm
• Weight Throw   1:30pm – 2:45pm
• Shot Put   2:45pm – 4:00pm

Friday, February 27
No practice will be allowed on the track due to competition
• All Events (Warmup Area)  9:00am – 2:00pm

Saturday, February 28
• All Events    8:00am – 9:00am
• All Events    6:30pm – 9:00pm
• Weight Throw   6:30pm – 7:45pm
• Shot Put   7:45pm – 9:00pm

Sunday, March 1
• All Events    8:00am – 10:00am

Harvard University Indoor Facility
Shuttle transportation from Marriott Copley will be provided

Friday, February 27
• Weight Throw    9:00am – 10:30am
• Shot Put   10:30am – 12:00pm
