USA Track & Field athletes ages 16 and 17 through December 31, 2014 (born in 1997 or 1998) will be nominated for selection to the Americas Youth Olympic Team based on performance at the U.S Area Youth Olympic Selection Trials – Track & Field (U.S Area Trials) to be held April 4 -5, 2014 in a location TBD. The Youth Olympic Games (August 16 - 28, 2014) is an event where youth athletes will have the opportunity to balance sport, education and culture. These Games work as a catalyst in these fields throughout the Olympic Movement.
