Entry Info

  • Online entry is the only method of entry.
  • A 2013 USATF membership is required to enter the 2013 USA Youth Outdoor Championships. Join Today!
  • To enter the 2013 Youth Outdoor Championships, you will be required to provide your 2013 USATF membership number and password. Retrieve your password.
  • Entries close to the deadlines: Although we will make every reasonable effort, we cannot guarantee responses to requests for passwords. Please do not wait until the last minute to enter!
  • Note to club coaches: If an athlete will only be an additional relay alternate (i.e., the athlete is not entered in any individual events and is not entered as one of the four relay team members), you must submit an individual entry for that athlete. Enter the athlete in the event called "Relay Roster Only"; the cost is $8. This athlete will then be eligible to run on any relay.
  • After completing your entry online, please fax a copy of your birth certificate, driver’s license, or the information page of your passport with your membership number written on it to the USATF National Office at 800-833-1466.

The entry fees for the Championships are per event. All fees are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Proof-of-age verification is required for this meet. If you are notified during the online entry process, you must submit a proof-of-age document (a copy of your birth certificate or passport) with your membership number written on it. This must be RECEIVED by USATF on or before June 21 as follows:

Eligibility Requirements

  • Only U.S. citizens, aliens living in the United States, and foreign exchange students are eligible to compete in these Championships. See the USATF Rules for more information and exceptions.
  • The competition will be conducted in six age divisions as follows:
    8 & Under born 2005+
    9 - 10 born 2003 -2004
    11 - 12 born 2001-2002
    13 - 14 born 1999-2000
    15 - 16 born 1997-1998
    17 - 18 born 1995-1996*
    *athletes born in 1994 are also eligible if they do not turn 19 on or before 7/28/2013.
  • A competitor must compete in his/her age division only. There will be no "moving up" in any events, including relays. Competitors in the 8 & Under, 9-10 and 11-12 divisions may compete in a maximum of three events, including relays. Competitors in the 13-14, 15-16, and 17-18 divisions may compete in a maximum of four events, including relays. Combined events are not included in the event count.
  • All athletes must be 2013 members of USATF in good standing. USATF memberships may be purchased online, or through your local Association Office.
  • All clubs must be 2013 USATF member organizations.
  • All relay team members must be members of the same club, which must also be registered with the club's local USATF Association for 2013.

Events in bold will be contested at the Championships. Events listed directly below those in bold are alternative guidelines comparable to those being contested. See Additional Guidelines below for full details.

**These performance guidelines are suggestions for being competitive in the Championships (i.e. place top 8 in the finals). Athletes who have not achieved a guideline may enter the event with a different mark or enter “NM (No Mark)” or “NT (No Time).” **

Additional Guidelines
  1. All performances for running events must be made on a standard indoor or 400m outdoor track.
  2. Marks must be made and verifiable in a competition with at least five athletes competing in the given event.
  3. All marks must be attained on or after Monday, July 2, 2012 through the meet's entry deadline.
  4. Times shown above are Fully Automatic Timing (F.A.T.) times. A manual time may also be used for qualifying. Qualifying manual times are always the F.A.T. qualifying time minus the last zero for events 800m and longer, the F.A.T time minus 0.14 for events 300m-400m, and the F.A.T time minus 0.24 for events 200m and shorter.
  5. Times submitted in hundredths of a second must be F.A.T. times. Hand times must be rounded up to the next tenth of a second.
  6. Composite scores may be computed for combined events using point scores for the athlete's best performance in each individual event contested after July 2, 2012.  
  7. Imperial conversions for metric field event marks can be computed using the field event mark conversion calculator.
