Entry Info

Entry Information

Participation in the 2012 USATF National Youth Indoor Track & Field Championships requires advancement through a Zone Championship. Top six (6) finishers in each event at the Zone Championships qualify for participation in the National Championships. Athletes in the Intermediate and Young Women/men age divisions are not required to participate in a Zone Championship and may enter directly into the National Championships. Athletes must meet certain eligibility requirements to compete.

Unique to this competition is a High School Division where high school-aged athletes (born 1994 -1997) may participate on combined relays to represent a High School Team (Contact your State High School Association for eligibility questions). This means that athletes aged 15 18 may run on the same relay team for designated events provided they compete for the same High School.

Illinois High School Athletes

Illinois High School athletes may participate in this event as unattached, club team members, or school team members. However, the 2011-12 Non-School Competition Participation Request Form must be completed, signed by the school principal and returned to the IHSA office no later than ten (10) days prior to the date of competition. Complete submission instructions can be found on the form.
