Coach and Athlete Support Credentials

Note - Changes to credentials can not be made online. However, entrants will be able to make any changes at packet/credential pick-up in Des Moines. Please view hours of operation for Packet Pick-Up here.

More information for coaches concerning credentials can be found here.

Coach and Athlete Support (AS) credentials are designed to allow an athlete's coach and/or personal support access to the event shuttle, warm-up area, athlete seating and practice track for the purpose of preparing for competition. Credentials can be obtained at Packet Pick Up.

Coach credential

Each participating athlete may request one (1) Coach credential for his or her coach by specifying the name of the individual designated to receive that credential on his or her entry form. There is no fee for this credential. All coaches applying for a Coach credential must be a member of USATF and must be a member of the USATF Coaches Registry , prior to receiving a Coach credential. Individuals should plan to complete that USATF Coaches Registry prior to their arrival in Des Moines.

USATF reserves the right to deny or revoke a Coach pocredential to any coach who USATF has reason to believe (a) has committed an anti-doping rule violation or materially contributed to the commission of an anti-doping rule violation; or (b) is under investigation by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) or other authorities with respect to a potential anti-doping rules violation. USATF may also deny a credential to any individual whose actions are deemed by USATF to reflect a pattern of unethical behavior.

Athlete Support (AS) Credentials

Each participating junior and senior athlete may request one AS credential for his or her personal support by specifying the name of the individual designated to receive that credential on his or her entry form or at Packet Pick up. The fee for this credential is $60. Only the individuals specified by participating athletes for this purpose will be allowed to purchase an AS credential. All individuals applying for a AS credential must be a member of USATF.

USATF reserves the right to deny or revoke an AS credential for any reason, including where USATF has reason to believe that an individual (a) has committed an anti-doping rule violation or materially contributed to the commission of an anti-doping rule violation; (b) is under investigation by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) or other authorities with respect to a potential anti-doping rules violation; Or (c) has engaged in conduct deemed by USATF to reflect a pattern of unethical behavior.

  • No coach or individual who is banned or under investigation by the USADA may be authorized to receive a credential, whether complimentary or purchased.
  • Any unauthorized person in possession of any credential and any unauthorized person found in any credential-restricted area, the athlete warm-up areas, or other restricted zones, will be immediately escorted from the facility, the credential will be revoked, and the unauthorized person may be subject to penalty.
