Competition bibs must be picked up at the clerk's table in the warm-up hall at the Albuquerque Convention Center. Bibs must be worn on both the front and back of the uniform (vaulters and high jumpers may choose to wear a single bib on either the front or the back). Bibs printed with numbers are to be worn on the back of the uniform. Bibs printed with the competitor's name must be worn on the front. Bibs may not be folded or altered in any manner.
All throwing implements must be weighed in prior to competition. Implements must be presented at the implement check-in area, located trackside in the first aide room on the back straight away, NO LATER THAN 120 MINUTES (2 HOURS) PRIOR TO THE START OF THE EVENT.
All athletes must check in for their event(s) at the clerk's table, located in the warm-up hall at the Albuquerque Convention Center. Uniform and equipment check will take place at that time. Just prior to the event start time, athletes will be escorted to the final staging area located trackside. All athletes must check in at the clerk's table according to the schedule below: No check in will be done trackside.
Athletes in all events will be escorted to the Post-Event Recovery Area located just off turn four (4) near the bleachers. Field event athletes will be escorted by the official assigned to that event. Clothing baskets will be located in this zone. Athletes selected for drug testing will be notified by a USADA chaperone in the Post-Event Recovery Area. Since this is a competition where drug testing is being conducted, athletes should under no circumstances leave the field of play through any exit other than the Post-Event Recovery Area.
All athletes must exit the track through the Mixed Zone. Press, athlete support, and USADA have access to this area. Athletes may be requested to go to the Media Interview Area. Please remember after signing a doping control notification form you must immediately report to the Drug Testing Center located in the North hallway just on the backside of the warm-up area.
All champions will be honored in a medal ceremony following the conclusion of their event. Winners will be escorted to the awards area.
Athletes who finish in 2nd - 4th places in running events should pick up their medals at the awards table located near the Mixed Zone. Athletes who finish in 2nd - 4th places in field events will receive their medals from the Chief Official upon completion of the event.
Remember, after signing a doping control notification form you must immediately report to the Drug Testing Center located in the North hallway just on the backside of the warm-up area.
Protests relating to matters that develop during the conduct of the competition must be made in writing only by an athlete or an athlete's representative on behalf of the athlete. The protest must be signed and submitted to the protest table and accompanied by a $50.00 cash protest fee no later than 30 minutes after the official announcement of the results. Protest forms and USATF competition rulebooks will be available at the protest table located just outside the warm-up hall at the Albuquerque Convention Center. The referee's decision will be posted at the Protest Table and a copy will be available for the athlete filing the protest as soon as the information is available.
If an athlete wishes to appeal the referee's decision, an appeal must be submitted in writing, signed, and accompanied by a $100.00 cash appeal fee to the protest table within 30 minutes after the action by the Referee has been officially posted. The appeal fee is non-refundable unless the appeal is upheld. Appeal forms will be available at the Protest Table located just outside the warm-up hall at the Albuquerque Convention Center. Only an athlete or an athlete's representative acting on behalf of the athlete may file an appeal. The Jury of Appeal's decision will be posted at the Protest Table and a copy will be available for the athlete filing the appeal as soon as a decision regarding the appeal is made. There is no further appeal following the Jury ruling.
It is imperative that we provide a clean environment for this televised event. Therefore, clothing, shoes, and athletic gear (etc.) must be kept out of the sight of television cameras. Basket carriers will transport clothes from the track to the Post-Event Recovery Area for sprint and hurdle events and from the final staging area for all other running events. Go to Top
A Gold Medal, emblematic of the Championships of the United States of America, will be given to the winner of each Championship event; a Silver Medal to second place; and Bronze Medals to third and fourth places.
Prize Money
For the 2010 USA Indoor Track & Field Championships, USA Track & Field will pay prize money to the first- through fourth place finishers in each Championship event. The prize structure is as follows:

Transitional Accreditation Guidelines USA Indoor Track & Field Championships
Athlete Support credentials are for the purpose of allowing an athlete's coach and/or personal medical access to the warm-up area for the purpose of preparing for competition. They are not designed for friends or family members.
Each participating athlete may request one (1) free Athlete Support (�AS�) credential for his or her coach by specifying the name of the individual designated to receive that credential on his or her entry form. Such athlete designation will be the only way a coach will be able to obtain an "AS" credential to work with an athlete. USATF reserves the right to deny "AS" credentials to any coach who USATF has reason to believe (a) has committed an anti-doping rule violation or materially contributed to the commission of an anti-doping rule violation; or (b) is under investigation by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (�USADA�) or other authorities with respect to a potential anti-doping rules violation. USATF also may deny a credential to any individual whose actions are deemed by USATF to reflect a pattern of unethical behavior. All personal coaches applying for a credential must be a member of USATF.
Each participating athlete will be able to purchase (or authorize the purchase of) one (1) credential for his or her personal medical by designating on his or her entry form the name of the individual for whom the additional �AS� is intended. Only the individuals specified by participating athletes for this purpose will be allowed to purchase an additional �AS�. Athletes can only request this �AS� credential for an individual who has professional credentials to support the request.
USATF reserves the right to deny or revoke an �AS� credential for any reason, including where USATF has reason to believe that an individual (a) has committed an anti-doping rule violation or materially contributed to the commission of an anti-doping rule violation; (b) is under investigation by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (�USADA�) or other authorities with respect to a potential anti-doping rules violation; Or (c) has engaged in conduct deemed by USATF to reflect a pattern of unethical behavior.
The following individuals have been designated to receive a personal coach or personal medical credential for the USA Indoor Championships. members are encouraged to make USATF's National Office Staff aware of any factual circumstances that might reflect unfavorable on an individual's worthiness to hold such a credential.

Please bring Passports!
The 2010 USA Indoor Track & Field Championships will serve as the selection meet for the 2010 IAAF World Indoor Championships to be held in Doha, Qatar March 12-14, 2010.
Because of the limited time between the USA Indoor Championships and the World Indoor Championships, athletes must have a passport valid for at least 6 months past the return date to be considered for the team.
Team Processing will take place on the 2nd floor of the Albuquerque Convention Center in the San Miguel room. Please note that Team Processing will be conducted on both Saturday and Sunday. All athletes selected as members of the team must stop by Team Processing to complete paperwork necessary for entry into the IAAF World Indoor Championships and to make travel arrangements. Athletes will travel as a group to Doha and will leave on March 4, 2010 and return on March 15, 2010. Athletes will receive their uniform package and travel itineraries during Team Processing. Visas are required for entry into Qatar, so athletes must bring valid passports to Team Processing. Passports must be valid for 6 months past your return date. Team staff will be available in the Mixed Zone to provide further information.

The first four (4) places in all track and field finals should complete paperwork at Team Processing.
All finalists in the 400m should also complete the team sign-up process in order to be eligible for the national team relay pools.
All athletes are required to complete Team Processing the day of their final in order to be eligible for the 2010 IAAF World Indoor Championships. Those who do not complete Team Processing by 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 28 will forfeit their rank for selection to the IAAF World Indoor Championships. Allowances will be made for athletes who are still in drug testing; however, those athletes must come to Team Processing immediately after they leave drug testing. During the Indoor Championships there will be complimentary shuttles between the MCM Elegante Hotel and the Albuquerque East Convention Center complex for USATF Credentialed participants only.
Please have your credential visible when boarding a shuttle. Credentials will not be required to access shuttle until first day of competition.
