Q: Will a U.S. athlete win the Women’s Hammer Throw at the 2026 USATF Lone Star Grand Prix presented by 44 Farms?

  • This is one of the deepest fields ever assembled outside of an Olympic Games or World Championships.
    • 7 of the top 9 (#1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, and 9) ranked women’s hammer throwers in the world are on the start list for the Lone Star Grand Prix.
  • Every gold medalist from the last four World Athletics Championships and the most recent Olympic Games are in this field.
  • Every single medalist from the last four major global championships period is entered in this competition.
  • Camryn Rogers from Canada comes in as the favorite having won the last three major global titles and has the three farthest throws in the world this season.
    • Rogers is the only woman to throw over 80 meters this season.
  • Tokyo 25 silver and bronze medalists, Zhao Jie and Zhang Jiale from China, will be competing here.
  • The U.S. has four athletes in this field ranked 9th in the world or higher.
Q: Who will win the Men’s Pole Vault at the 2026 USATF Lone Star Grand Prix presented by 44 Farms?
  • KC Lightfoot has had three competitions this year with a clearance of 5.90m or higher.
    • The next highest season’s best of anyone in this field is 5.85m by Chris Nilsen during the indoor season.
  • Ashton Barkdull has the highest outdoor mark of anyone in the field this season at 5.82m.
  • Reigning USATF Outdoor Champion Austin Miller will be looking to improve on his 5.51m season’s best.
  • Chris Nilsen is the only man in the field that has won an Olympic and/or World Championships medal.
Q: Will the official winning time in the Men’s 110m Hurdles be faster than or equal to 13.15 seconds at the 2026 USATF Lone Star Grand Prix presented by 44 Farms?
  • Nobody in this field has run faster than 13.23 this season thus far, under any conditions.
    • E.B. Cushing Stadium has had a history of strong wind-aided times in the straight sprints. Could the same apply to the high hurdles? Some argue that a strong tailwind could push the athletes too close to the hurdles and may result in a sloppy race. On the other hand, a strong headwind would most likely be detrimental to results as well.
  • Only three athletes in this field have ever run faster than 13.15 under any conditions.
  • Jamar Marshall comes into this race with the fastest season’s best at 13.23.
  • Tokyo 25 bronze medalist Tyler Mason is making his 110m Hurdles season debut at the Lone Star Grand Prix.
Q: Who will win the Women’s 400m at the 2026 USATF Lone Star Grand Prix presented by 44 Farms?
  • Ella Onojuvwevwo comes into this race with the fastest season’s best at 49.59.
    • Onojuvwevwo is the only woman in this field to have run sub-50 seconds this season, but has not competed since May 2.
  • Britton Wilson has the fastest personal best in the field at 49.13.
  • Stacey Ann Williams, Alexis Holmes, Britton Wilson, Ella Onojuvwevwo, and Bailey Lear are all ranked in the top 30 in the world in this event.
Q: Will the official winning time in the Women’s 100m Hurdles be faster than or equal to 12.50 seconds at the 2026 USATF Lone Star Grand Prix presented by 44 Farms?
  • World #3 ranked Grace Stark and 2019 World Champion Nia Ali are both making their season debuts at the Lone Star Grand Prix.
  • Rayniah Jones comes into this meet with the fastest season’s best at 12.60.
  • 6 of the 9 women in this field have personal bests faster than 12.50.
  • Similar to the Men’s 110m Hurdles, the wind conditions at the time of the race may have a significant impact on the final results.
Q: Who will win the Men’s 400m at the 2026 USATF Lone Star Grand Prix presented by 44 Farms?
  • 2026 World Indoor Champion Christopher Morales Williams comes into this race with the fastest season’s best at 44.30.
  • 2024 Olympic Champion Quincy Hall is making a quick return after his season opener at the Rabat Diamond League Meeting on May 31. He ran 45.54 there to place eighth.
    • Hall’s personal best is the fastest in the field at 43.40.
  • Texas A&M University alum Bryce Deadmon and 2025 World Indoor Champion Chris Bailey are the only other men besides Morales Williams to run sub-45 seconds this season.

  • 6 of the 9 women in this field are ranked in the top 25 in the world (Ashanti Moore, Favour Ofili, Jenna Prandini, Deajah Stevens, Kayla White, and Cambrea Sturgis).
Q: Who will win the Men’s 400m Hurdles at the 2026 USATF Lone Star Grand Prix presented by 44 Farms?
  • Caleb Dean comes into this race with the fastest season’s best at 47.75.
  • Trevor Bassitt is the only other man in this field to have run sub-48 seconds this season.
  • 2025 NCAA Champion Ezekiel Nathaniel has the fastest personal best in the field at 47.11 and is making his 400m Hurdles season debut at the Lone Star Grand Prix.
  • Dean, Bassitt, and Nathaniel are all ranked in the top 10 in the world along with CJ Allen.
Q: How many athletes will run faster than or equal to 2:00.00 in the Women’s 800m at the 2026 USATF Lone Star Grand Prix presented by 44 Farms?

    • Kadrian Goldson is the only other athlete in the field to have run sub-10 seconds this season.
  • Trayvon Bromell has the fastest personal best in the field at 9.76. He recently earned a bronze medal over 60m at the 2026 World Athletics Indoor Championships.
  • 5 of the 9 men in this field are ranked in the top 25 in the world.
Tiebreaker Q: To the nearest hundredth of a second (e.g., 9.58, 10.49, etc.), what will the official winning time be in the Women’s 100m at the 2026 USATF Lone Star Grand Prix presented by 44 Farms?
  • Have fun with this one! The wind conditions at E.B. Cushing Stadium can be unpredictable. I would tentatively expect there to be a sizable tailwind, so it’s possible that athletes may outperform their season’s bests by a tenth of a second or two.

You can follow this event by tuning in to NBC and Peacock on Saturday, June 6th from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. EDT.
