Full Fields Released for Inaugural Lone Star Grand Prix Fueled by 44 Farms

COLLEGE STATION, TX – Fresh off her first-ever Diamond League victory, Cambrea Sturgis will return to the United States to compete in the women’s 200m at the Lone Star Grand Prix Fueled by 44 Farms. Sturgis is enjoying a breakout season, having lowered her personal best to 21.93 in Nairobi in April before claiming the biggest win of her career at the Rabat Diamond League meeting last weekend. Full fields for the Lone Star Grand Prix, set for Saturday, June 6 at E.B. Cushing Stadium on the Texas A&M campus, were released today.

Sturgis joins one of the deepest women’s sprint fields assembled in the United States this season. The 200m will feature previously announced athletes including reigning Olympic champion Gabby Thomas (USA), high school standout Mariah Maxwell (USA), and World Athletics Championships relay gold medalists Jenna Prandini (USA) and Kayla White (USA).

The men’s 100m field also received a major addition with the entry of world champion Christian Coleman (USA). Coleman joins a loaded lineup that includes 2020 Olympic gold medalist Andre De Grasse (CAN), 2025 World champion Oblique Seville (JAM), 2016 World Indoor champion Trayvon Bromell (USA), and 2024 Olympic bronze medalist Zharnel Hughes (GBR), creating one of the premier sprint races of the outdoor season.

The following previously announced athletes have withdrawn from competition:

  • Steven Gardiner (BAH), 200m
  • Brandon Carnes (USA), 200m
  • Max Thomas (USA), 100m
  • Khaleb McRae (USA), 400m
  • Tiana Adana Bell (USA), 400m hurdles

Part of the USATF Tour, the Lone Star Grand Prix is one of two World Athletics Continental Tour Gold meetings in the United States this season, alongside the Los Angeles Grand Prix later this month. Tickets are available now. Updated start lists, schedules, and additional meet information are also available online.

The meet will be broadcast live on NBC from 3:00–5:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, June 6.
