INDIANAPOLIS – USA Track & Field (USATF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jay Holder as its new Chief Content and Communications Officer following an extensive search process that drew top candidates from across the country. An experienced sports professional, respected voice in the track and field community and current USATF Board Member, Holder brings over a decade of expertise in communications, media relations, digital innovation and event experience.
In his new role, Holder will lead USATF’s strategic communications, media relations and storytelling efforts across all platforms, beginning with the historic 2025 Toyota USATF Outdoor & Para National Championships. His extensive experience includes serving as a track and field media operations and broadcast consultant for the last two summer Olympic Games in Tokyo and Paris, the 2022 World Championships, and Director of Media for the last two U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Marathon.

Most recently, Holder served as the Executive Director of Running USA, a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating, elevating, and engaging the running event industry. Previously, he was the Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Atlanta Track Club. An avid runner, Holder has completed 15 marathons and works annually with major road races and track events worldwide, providing public relations, media and broadcast expertise.
