USATF is excited to announce the 2020 USATF Masters Virtual Fall Challenge in conjunction with our partners at Athletic.net. The Challenge is open to both USATF Masters Members ages 25+ and non-members and will run October 19 – November 16, 2020. USATF members will receive a virtual bib and all participants will receive a finisher certificate.

USATF is committed to creating a culture that clearly advocates, and provides for, a safe environment in which our athletes compete and participate. USATF believes this is paramount to the success of all our programs. The events listed above are the only events that will be contested during the 2020 USATF Masters Virtual Fall Challenge. For the 2020 USATF Masters Virtual Fall Challenge, USATF does not recommend and will not recognize any events not listed on this page. USATF recommends that all participation in the 2020 USATF Masters Virtual Fall Challenge take place with proper equipment and appropriate supervision. NOTE: The women’s pentathlon will contest the same events as the men’s pentathlon – Long Jump, Javelin, 200m, Discus, and 1500m. Entrants in the Hammer Throw, Weight Throw, Superweight Throw, Discus, and Throws Pentathlon are expected to use appropriate sectors and legal cages.
This event is open to both USATF Masters Members and Non-members. Registration can be completed by going to AthleticAPP on your smart phone or tablet or by going to Athletic.net and completing the online registration. Registration will be open from October 19, 2020, and conclude on Monday, November 16, 2020.
To purchase a 2020 USATF Membership please go here. As a reminder, please be sure to select events that you are able to safely complete while still following all Local, State and National laws and guidelines. Be respectful of facility closures and compete in events that you can complete in your neighborhood or backyard if there are no track & field facilities open in your area. Athletes entering the Pentathlon and/or Throws Pentathlon should select the five events that comprise the combined event within their standard individual division. Pentathlon Long Jump Javelin Throw 200 meters Discus Throw 1500 meters Throws Pentathlon Hammer Throw Shot Put Discus Throw Javelin Throw Weight Throw For the field events, athletes should use the implements appropriate for their age group. Once results have been submitted, USATF Masters and Masters Rankings will extract the performances and score the Pentathlon and/or Throws Pentathlon. Results will be reported once the Masters Virtual Fall Challenge is complete.

Once your activity has been uploaded the leaderboard will be updated in real time to reflect current results. Athletes will be able to view other athletes’ postings, watch videos or look at photos of their competition. Results will lock on November 16, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. *USATF reserves the right to review submissions to ensure that they are appropriate and consistent with its policies and procedures. No submission can contain material that violates or infringes any rights of any other party, including but not limited to copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or any other intellectual property rights or civil rights. The submission should not disparage USATF or any third party (including, but not limited to, USATF’s partners, sponsors or suppliers). The submission must not contain material that is inappropriate, indecent, obscene, hateful, tortious, defamatory, slanderous or libelous. The submission must not contain material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age. The submission must not contain material that is unlawful, in violation or contrary to the laws, regulations or ordinances in the location where they are created. The submission must not contain or promote illegal drugs or firearms (or the use of any of the foregoing), or any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous. You understand that any decisions regarding any of the above shall be in the sole and exclusive discretion of USATF. By entering your results, you warrant and represent to USATF that; (a) you are the sole and exclusive owner of your submission; (b) the submission will not infringe on any rights (including, without limitation, any intellectual property rights); (c) any third parties in the submission have given you their consent to be included in the submission; and (d) all information you provided is true and accurate. Also, by providing your submission, you are consenting to give USATF a royalty-free, irrevocable, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, publish and display your submission, in whole or in part, on a worldwide basis, in any form, media or technology now known or later developed for purposes of the 2020 USATF Masters Virtual Fall Challenge. Please be sure to participate in a safe environment (e.g. please stay away from high traffic areas or areas that may be unsafe for any reason). Participants and coaches should be aware of the area that they are competing in and be respectful of other bystanders and/or property in the area. For activities with throws implements you should always be aware of where the implements might land and allow for appropriate clearance in the vicinity of the landing zone. USATF will not be responsible for injury or harm to people or property from your participation in the 2020 USATF Masters Virtual Fall Challenge. Prior to participating in the 2020 USATF Masters Virtual Fall Challenge, please make sure you and/or your coaches are aware of any health limitations you might have (e.g. pre-existing injuries, asthma, etc.) and ensure that proper treatment and care is available to you, if needed. As these activities would be taking place during the colder fall/winter months, it is important that you and/or coaches become familiar with signs of cold-related illnesses, so that they may be avoided.
