USATF Officials National Uniform

USATF Certified Officials are expected to maintain a professional appearance and wear the USATF National Officials uniform at all USATF Track & Field, Cross Country, Race Walk, and Road Running national championship events, as well as the US Olympic Trials and any WA competitions in the US. Following these guidelines at non-national championships meets, regional and association championships, and other USATF sanctioned events is strongly encouraged. Officials’ coordinators and meet directors may make adjustments to these guidelines. When a polo shirt is provided by the event host it should be worn the same as the National Nike Polo.

The National Officials Uniform consists of the following:

• National solid Navy-Blue Nike polo shirt, short and long sleeve (2016/2017). There are two styles of short sleeve shirts; loose fitted and fitted. Loose fitted shirts are to be tucked in, fitted shirts can be worn out. National Polo DOES NOT include Associations logo.
• Light khaki pants or shorts. Shorts length is to be no more than 2 inches above the knee. No skirts, skorts, jeggings, jogging pants, leggings, jogging or running shorts.
• Brown or khaki belt.
• Nike preferred or non-branded athletic-style shoes. Socks shall be worn whether crew, ankle, or no show.
• National rain suit Navy Jacket Black Pants, for inclement weather (Pending additional items being added to the official's store). If an official does not have a national rain suit, then a non-branded rain suit of the same color may be worn.
• National cold weather jacket Navy or Black (Pending additional items· being added to the official's store). If an official does not have a national jacket, then a non-branded jacket of the same color may be worn.
• Hats worn for outdoor events should be a national-issued ball cap or a plain white in color ball cap with small or no manufacturer logo. USATF or meet pin only. Plain khaki color bucket hat may also be worn.

STARTERS

• Red sleeved or polo style shirts
• Red blazers for TV/National meets
• Red ball cap or bucket hat
• All other National uniform requirements are to be met.

There are to be no Association Logos on any items worn at National Meets.

NATIONAL PHOTO ID

The national photo ID is to be worn whenever the national uniform is worn.
