The former University of Oregon Duck turned pro after 2011 and holds school records in the 1,500m and distance medley relay. An NCAA champion in 2011, Centrowitz placed third in the 1,500m at the NCAA Championships in 2010 to be a part of a 1-2-3 sweep for the Ducks. He was the first Oregon Duck undergrad since Steve Prefontaine to win a USA Outdoor championship and holds two school records. His father, Matthew, was a two-time Olympian and an All-American distance runner at Oregon. He majored in sociology.&nbsp;<br />
