USA Indoor/Combined Events and Outdoor Track & Field Championships
Travel Stipends help to defray air, housing, and meals for top ranked competitors in each event, on the championship program. These stipends generally range from $500-$800 for each athlete.
Funding is allocated to the top five (5) athletes in each event, provided first to the Defending Champion in each event, and then to the top four ranked performers in that event, based on the then current U.S. List as of the on-time entry deadline for that Championship. If the defending Champion is not entered in the Championships by the on-time entry deadline, funding will then be allocated to the top five (5) performers in each event who have entered by the on-time entry deadline. In addition to the payments as described above, funding will be provided to those athletes who were not allocated funding prior to the Championships, but who placed in the top 3 (Indoor Only) or top 4 (Outdoor) at the event.
Detailed information about travel funding for these events can be found on our website under the athlete information section for each event.
Note: Athlete must be qualified for that championship event in order to receive this funding allocation.
