Eligibility
USATF members and clubs from the following Associations are eligible to score in this meet:

  • Arizona
  • Central California
  • Hawaii
  • Nevada
  • New Mexico
  • Pacific
  • San Diego-Imperial
  • Southern California

Athletes who are not members of these Associations may compete as a guest but will not officially score in the championship

USATF Membership: To enter you must be a 2012 USATF Member in good standing. You may renew/join at www.usatf.org/membership. This is an Open championship. 

Minimum Age:

  • Women - 14 years and older (as of June 2, 2012)
  • Men- 16 years and older (as of June 2, 2012) 

Entry Fees and Deadlines

Awards

  • Individuals: USATF Region Championship medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each age division in each event (gold, silver and bronze).
  • Teams: The winning Men’s team and Women’s team a will be awarded $600 towards travel support to the USATF National Club Track & Field Championships (July 6-7 / Omaha, Neb.)

Team Scoring
Individual and relay events will be scored 5-3-2-1.

Throwing Implements / Pole Vault Poles
 Athletes must provide their own their own implements and pole vault poles. All throwing implements must be inspected and approved prior to use in competition. The implement inspection table will be located in the northwest corner of the track.

Check-in / Declarations

  • Track Events - – 45 minutes prior to the scheduled start of each running event, competitors must check in at the Clerk’s tent near the southwest corner of the track—after which those who have not checked in will be scratched. 20 minutes prior to each running event, runners must return to the Clerk to pick up their hip numbers and heat assignments.
  • Field Events 45 minutes prior to the event, competitors must check in with the Head Judge or an event official.
