Eligibility
USATF members and clubs from the following Associations are eligible to score in this meet:

  • Alaska
  • Inland Northwest
  • Montana
  • Oregon
  • Pacific Northwest
  • Snake River
  • Utah
  • Wyoming

Athletes who are not members of these Associations may compete as a guest but will not officially score in the championship

USATF Membership: To enter you must be a 2012 USATF Member in good standing. You may renew/join at www.usatf.org/membership. This is an Open championship. 

Minimum Age:

  • Women - 14 years and older (as of June 10, 2012)
  • Men- 16 years and older (as of June 10, 2012) 

Entry Fees and Deadlines

All fees are non-transferable and non-refundable. No entry will be considered completed unless it is accompanied by full payment of fees and all required documents (see below).

Notes:

  • All events are FINALS based on time unless indicated above as having a 1st round.
  • 1500m, 5000m and 10,000m - men and women will run together if less than 3 entries in either gender
  • Athletes not completing the following events in the stated time will be removed from the track

       - 10,000m (45:00 men; 55:00 women)
       - 3000m Steeplechase (12:00 men; 13:00 women)
       - 5000m (19:00 men; 22:30 women)

Relay Entries
Relay team members must be entered as individuals in the meet in at least one other event.   If an athlete is only going to run a relay then they must select "Relay Leg Only" as their event during the entry process.

Awards

  • Individuals: USATF Region Championship medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each age division in each event (gold, silver and bronze).
  • Teams: The winning Menís team and Womenís team a will be awarded $600 towards travel support to the USATF National Club Track & Field Championships (July 6-7 / Omaha, Neb.)

Team Scoring
Individual and relay events will be scored 5-3-2-1.

Throwing Implements / Pole Vault Poles
 Throwing implements will be provided for the Discuss, Hammer, and Shot Put.  Athletes must provide their own their own implements for the Javelin and pole vault poles. All throwing implements must be inspected and approved prior to use in competition.

Check-in / Declarations

  • Track Events - Athletes will must check in 45 minutes prior to the listed start time of the event, at the time the event will be reseed if needed.  Athletes will be called to the clerk 30 minutes prior to the start of the event to receive hip and /or lane assignments.  Athletes will then be escorted to the event by a line clerk.   If you miss the check in time you will be scratched from the event.
  • Field Events - Athletes shall check-in at the event 30 minutes prior to the start of the event.
