Description: This soon to be classic ultra marathon route starts and finishes in the center of the island at the community center. The route is out and back (4mi per round trip) which will ensure constant local support as well as inter-participant camaraderie. Runners will pass quaint island homes, fields of wildflowers which extend to the sea all in a quiet peaceful offshore island setting. The rolling hills are not big and will offer a pleasant variety of terrain needed in order to excell at these classic ultra marathon distances.

Lovely location, great food, the entire island gets involved. If you're only gonna run back and forth on one 2 mile stretch of road for 31 miles in the middle of the summer, this is the place to do it!

Thought this would be a terrible Ultra running back and forth on a 2 mile island. But even though we started at 100 degrees (so I heard) I truly loved this race. My body got used to going up and down the same old hills. The food was great afterwards. I stuffed myself and lobster and loved the conversation with all the runners. This is the most unique race I have ever ran and the most memorable. Cheers to all that made this happen. Hope to run again.

Wonderful race, in a beautiful place, great scenery, and awesome support by the locals. Fair, rolling hills, but gentle. Glad I was part of this inaugural race and plan on getting there again.
