Come on folks, there was a copy of the map on-line and all you had to do if just following the flow of traffic to get a parking spot. Some people just like to complain, just because you were to lazy to be better prepared. Next time, do your homework and I'm sure you will be just fine. Now, quite your bitching and go run 10 laps for compainling.

I have been running for many years and have run Abe's Amble before. I was very disappointed that there was very little planning for this race this time. There were not even directions from the parking area to the starting line! This made it quite difficult after the first two parking areas we were told to park in were filled up and blocked off by the IL State Police, leaving us to park in an unscheduled parking area. This could have been avoided but there were other problems that just made this race sad. First, I registered 4 weeks ahead and when I got to the race an hour before the start, the only shirts they had were a box of 3X shirts. What director buys a case of 3X shirts for runners? Secondly, the water they gave us on the course and afterwards came from a garden hose. Where was the health department at? Third, if you went to the post-race party there were two choices - energy drinks and/or beer. So much for my 18yr-old daughter that was with me. The route and race was a great course but I will never run this race again. For such a short race, it was very poorly planned and obviously lacked input from experienced runners.
