Good question! This route includes almost 3/4 mile of trail dating back to the 1930's, when MCC was the site of a Marist Seminary. This well-preserved trail is mildly technical, and offers scenic views of a frog-pond, huge pine stands, and lush fern beds. It is also part of the Bay Circuit Trail - an extensive trail network that extends from Duxbury to Plum Island. Another portion (over 1 mile) of this route also utilizes the beautiful Bedford Rail Trail - a flat, scenic wooded multi-use trail system. All portions of the trail are in good shape, and provide a vareity of scenery and terrain.
Jonathan - what's the story behind this trail? Is it new? Is it part of the Bay Circuit trail? What kind of shape is it in? Always looking for new trail runs/races, count me in for this one.
