Really? Some of the comments here are really disappointing. It would have hoped for a little more compassion and understanding from Clarence residents. These must be the same people that vote "no" to the school budgets. The course is very good. It's an "around the block" kind of set up with a couple of very gradual hills. Parking is convenient and the community (most of them) are friendly and supportive.

A nail appointment is more important then remembering and honoring a loved one who is gone from this earth forever. You can grow back your nails! You can't bring back a dead person! Have some sympathy for our lost love ones, for all we want to do is honor and remember the good about them. And if a run is able to do that let us have that pleasure as yours is to get your nails done. I've run in many races were you can get through if it's an emergency.Manicures are not an emergency. Many, many selfish people in the world like you and others will someday have something terrible happen to you and then you'll understand hopefully the meaning of consideration and compassion!

I have only ran races for the past year and did not even start running until hitting 50. I look for races that benefit a good cause and to hear you people complain about how you feel so inconvenienced by not being able to get out of your driveway's for a short period of time I find is pretty sad. I do not know anyone that lost their life that night but as a WNY resident I feel that this was such a sad evening, especially for the people who lost a loved one. Maybe you should think about them and what they would give to be able to wait at the end of a driveway with the very person they lost that night. This race is being run in their memory, you should maybe take a step back and remember why this race is being run and for who. Also to think that you live in the town that the crash happened is pretty pathetic.
