| Description: |
This is a potential alternate route for the Wachusett Mountain Race. It will have the same opening stretch up Mile Hill road to the park entrance. At this point, it will diverge from the original by taking the Donbrowo hiking trail back down alongside Mile Hill Road to Balance Rock Road which is a dirt road that cuts across the ski trails. Follow until you come to Old Indian Trail and turn left. This is a steep hiking trail. Take right onto Semuhenna trail which will bring you to the auto road. Turn right and then an immediate right onto North Road. Turn right back onto Balance Rock Road and follow back across ski trails and just before Mile Hill road, turn left and come down the edge of the ski trail (this is the only ski trail that is not off limits) and run around pond and over wooden bridge into parking lot. |

This was my fourh consequetive year doing this race, but when i first read that the course was going to include some trails i was excited ,i loved it, it was fun just like i thought i would. awsome job, i say keep it this way for the future.

Terrific, fun course on race day. Keep the grind up Mile Hill. More caution needed on Donbrowo with a boundary marker able to de-limb a runner following too closely. Maybe put a tall pole on it with a flag? The final 2 miles downhill were delightful.

Excellent course, Wachusett Cranmore Edition. Race-day, some congestion due to road runners on trails, but superfast downhills spread us out. Great job, guys. Very happy customer here.
