Hilly course -- more than the IntownTen (10k) that was run in March, even though both races are in VaHi. The 3-4km stretch is rough, but gets easier for the last km. The cooler weather helped a lot this year. Not looking forward to running this in the future when it's much hotter. Although difficult, a race definitely worth running and it's always fun running through VaHi.
If you dont like this course, your a wuss! This "elite" runner goes out very fast and blows up and miles 2 and screams "this course sucks". This is just when all of the hills begin! Suck it up.
Rating:

This route is fairly nice, with lost of shade (except at the intersections). Lanier is a boulevard, so there are two lanes of traffic separated by a median, which is perfect for the run. The second half of the course is almost entirely uphill, though, so pace yourself.
