This was my first year running this race. I have done several 10ks throughout Ventura/LA and this is my new favorite. It was super organized, the volunteers were so friendly, and the post race expo was huge. Mile 4-5 had some short steep climbs but the downhills make up for that mile. Despite the hilly section I was still able to PR. The scenery was also gorgeous, I really enjoyed this race!

Awesome 10K!!!

Just a great route which takes the runner through a combination of urban and rural areas. The section between the 2.5 and 4.0 is slightly uphill and can be tough in a northeast (santa ana) wind but it looks like we will not have that this Saturday. Some of the homes along the route in Old Agoura (horse property) get into it and cheer the runners and one plays the Chariots of Fire theme. You probably will not run your fastest 10K on this route (you will on the 5K route) but it is a fabulous event. This is a gold rating for me. Great after party celebration and the 10Kers mostly finish before the other races so you get to watch the really fast half marathoners finish.
