Let your voice be heard!

USATF has written to President Bush, requesting that he deny Marion Jones' application for commutation or pardon of her sentence for lying to federal investigators. In January, Ms. Jones was sentenced to six months in prison and two years of probation and community service for lying to federal investigators about her steroid use and for making false statements during an investigation into bank fraud.

Dear President Bush,

I was very concerned to learn of Marion Jones' request for a pardon or clemency on her federal conviction. The sport of track and field has no place for drug cheats, and wiping her record clean or reducing her sentence would send the wrong message to everyone. Cheaters don't win! Please do the right thing and ensure that she is held accountable for her actions.

Sincerely,
