Shin Splints blog: Learning the hard way

Patrolling the Central Highlands of Vietnam and doing business in Mexico City have provided USATF CEO Doug Logan with plenty of lessons about how best to conduct international business. In his latest Shin Splints blog, "Superpower as Mendicant", Logan observes that Americans are making too many basic mistakes in the international sports arena. Noting USATF's own efforts to shore up its international standing, Logan diagnoses the problem: due to a guileless game plan, the United States is left "begging for support from officials whom we really don't know and who owe us nothing."
