Intermediate Boys' 3,000m champion, Connor Smock
"I wasn't planning on leading the whole race but the two fastest guys didn't come so I did. It was a PR so I'm happy with that."
Youth Boys' Discus champion, Aaron Zedella
"I am surprised that I won. I have been struggling over the last few weeks, having a hard time throwing over 120 feet, but I am happy with how I threw today (153-4)"
Intermediate Girls' shot put champion, Avione Allgood
"I expected to win, but I am not happy with how I threw. I am going to practice harder before regionals and listen to what the coaches tell me so I can throw further."
Intermediate Girls' triple jump champion, Jennifer Madu
"I like the triple jump because it has three phases and you can pick up what you left behind if mess up one of the phases."
