Media Advisory – Media services for IAAF World Outdoor Championships, Osaka

USATF Director of Communications Jill Geer and Media Information Manager Tom Surber will be on-site in Osaka to assist domestic and international media, from August 22-Sept. 2. Below is information on USATF media services at the World Championships.

Team USA Press conference: To be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, August 23 at the Stadium Interview Room. Team USA Head Coaches Amy Deem and Pat Henry will be joined by defending world champions Allyson Felix and Michelle Perry; American record holders Sanya Richards and Jenn Stuczyski; 2007 world leader Reese Hoffa; and World Outdoor silver medalist Wallace Spearmon.

Additional athlete and staff interview requests: All interview requests for any team member or staff member must go through Jill Geer or Tom Surber.

USATF Media Work Space: USATF will have a small, unenclosed work space in the open area of the Main Media Center, located nearby the track. Because printing and copying services will not be readily available, on-site media services will be largely electronic (see below).

Quotes service: Athlete quotes will be emailed regularly to media on-site in Osaka requesting this service. Media can sign up for this service at the Team USA press conference on August 23 or by visiting the USATF Media Work Space. Due to printing and copying limitations in Osaka, complete quotes will be printed, upon request, at the end of the day. All quotes and releases also will be posted to the USATF Web site at the conclusion of each day.

Team USA Media Kit: Hard copies of the Team USA Media Kit will be available to the press in Osaka. A .pdf of the kit also will be available in the Media Information section of http://www.usatf.org/events/2007/IAAFWorldOutdoorChampionships/
