Event Groups Offered (and class size limits)

  • Sprints/Hurdles/Relays (max 60 students) - GROUP IS FULL
  • Endurance (max 60 students) - GROUP IS FULL
  • Jumps (max 60 students) - GROUP IS FULL
  • Throws (max 35 students) - GROUP IS FULL
  • Combined Events (max 25 students) - GROUP IS FULL

Alumni School applicants to Level 2 schools: To qualify for Alumni School, one must have completed at least one area of Level 2. Alumni participants do not have to repeat the Sports Science section of Level 2 school.

Fees and Deadlines

All applications must be accompanied by payment in full.  USATF accepts checks, money orders and VISA.  VISA is the only credit card accepted by USATF.  Checks will be returned in the event that an applicant is not accepted into the program.  Application forms with credit card numbers will be shredded if the applicant is not accepted into the program.  Sorry, but we cannot accommodate special requests regarding payment of fees.

Level 2 refund policy:

  • Up to 4 weeks prior to the application deadline: Full refund minus $50.00
  • 2-4 weeks prior to the application deadline: Full refund minus $100.00
  • 2 weeks prior to the application deadline: Tuition only if room and board package is involved; tuition minus $100.00 if the room and board was not purchased
  • No refund will be given after the application deadline. A tuition voucher will be available for use at a future school if requested between the deadline and the first day of the school.

The 2009 USATF Level 2 Program is full and we are no longer accepting applications.

Additional Required Documents

All applicants (including alumni) must submit the following along with this application:

  1. Provide a brief (two pages maximum) resume or vita, which includes pertinent information regarding your personal athletic experience, all coaching positions held, and any related activities (e.g., camps, clinics, publications, presentations). Include the names and addresses of three individuals as references.
  2. Provide a comprehensive one-page outline of your approach to coaching / developing athletes in the event group for which you have applied. (ITC applicants must also provide a one-page outline regarding their perspective on the role of coaching education).

Notification of Acceptance will be done via e-mail and/or postal mail within three weeks of receiving the application. Acceptance is based on qualifications and not on a "first come, first served" basis; however each event group will be closed once maximum group size is reached.
