Classes and Attendance

Classes will be held in various lecture halls on the Rice University campus (actual buildings to be determined). 100% attendance is mandatory at all sessions. Be on time. If commuting, be aware that the Level 2 schedule is rigorous and a commute of more than 30 minutes daily could turn out to be very taxing.

Starting and Ending Dates/Times

Packet pickup will be held 2:00-4:00 PM in the lobby of Martel College on Saturday, July 12. The Level 2 School will start promptly at 6:30 PM on Saturday, July 12. All first time attendees must be present at this time. The program will conclude at approximately 6:00 PM on Saturday, July 19 following student evaluations of the staff and graduation. Attendance at the closing session in mandatory in order to receive your Level 2 Certificate. Please be advised that you should not purchase a plane ticket until after you have been notified of your acceptance into the school. The room & board package does include housing on Saturday, July 19, 2008.

Level 2 Alumni Arrival Time

All Level 2 Alumni participants should register between 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 in teh lobby of Martel College. All Level 2 Alumni must arrive by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15.  Please note that alumni will not be allowed to check in prior to July 15, 2008.

Departure Time

All Level 2 participants must check out of their dorm rooms before 10:00 AM on Sunday, July 20. The Level 2 School concludes by 6:00 PM on July 19. Participants may depart any time after that. Housing for July 19 is included in the room and board package. Typically about 75% of the Level 2 attendees stay that night and enjoy some post-program socializing with their fellow Level 2 graduates.

Please note that departure prior to the closing session will result in forfeiture of your Level 2 certificate. You will leave with newfound knowledge, but no USATF Level 2 certificate!
