$75 - Alumni pricing is for those who have already taken and successfully completed the Level 1 Course. Please contact to verify alumni status and register for the course.

Refund policy: Only 1/2 of the registration fee ($75.00) will be refunded after the registration deadline, and no refund will be given after the start date.

  • Matt Lydum, PhD, researches, writes, and teaches on issues related to human performance with a focus on educating coaches to provide developmentally appropriate experiences. He is Level 2 certified in Throws, Jumps, Combined Events and Sprints, Hurdles, & Relays. He is the project writer for the Human Kinetics text Coaching Youth Track & Field and serves as Director of the USATF Level 2 Youth Specialization Course. He served on the Team USA Coaching Staff for the 2007 & 2009 IAAF World Youth Championships. Lydum was the 1998 USOC delegate for the International Olympic Academy and has coached numerous All-Americans at the small college and youth levels.
  • Dave Pavlansky, was the head boys' track and cross country coach at Boardman High School from 1999 2011.  Twice named OAT&CCC District 1 Boys' Track Coach of the Year, Dave received the 2007 Fred Daffler State Coach of the Year Award for Boys' Cross Country.  In 2007 he was among 10 sprint coaches selected nationwide by USATF to attend the Emerging Elite Coaches' Camp in Orlando, Florida.  During Daves tenure Boardman teams produced numerous All-Ohio athletes, Indoor and Outdoor state champions, as well as two Nike All-Americans.  Dave has USATF Level 2 certifications in Jumps, Endurance, and Sprints / Hurdles / Relays and he currently serves as USATF Regional Coordinator of Coaching Education for the Midwest and Upper East Coast.
  • Marshall Milbrath has experience in both coaching and in educating. Milbrath completed a master's in curriculum and instruction from Concordia University Portland while serving as a science teacher for 4 years in both middle and high school 3 of which were also spent as the head distance coach for Osbourn High School in Manassas, Virginia. Milbrath returned to school to obtain a master's in exercise physiology from the University of Virginia where he also taught physical activity courses in the areas of running for fitness and women's weight training and volunteered. He is currently a sport pedagogy PhD student at the University of Northern Colorado with a research focus in intensity assessment and prescription in endurance running training cycles. He is also involved with the Northern Colorado cross-country and track teams as a volunteer assistant.
