$75 - Alumni pricing is for those who have already taken and successfully completed the Level 1 Course. Please contact shayna.sangster@usatf.org to verify alumni status and register for the course.

A special USATF rate of $109 per night is good through June 1st.  Rate includes hot skillet breakfast, wireless internet, complimentary parking, 24-7 in-house fitness center, along with shuttle service. To access the special rate: Students can call the hotel directly, ask to speak with central reservations and refer to the group name “USA Track & Field”. They will need to provide a method of payment upon booking their reservations. Students can also register online at greensboro.place.hyatt.com going to the group section on the right hand side, and entering ‘G-USAT’ to receive the group rate. Group rate will expire June 1st. Guests must book by this date or be subject to hotel rack rates.

Instructors

  • Matt Lydum, PhD researches, writes, and teaches on issues related to human performance with a focus on educating coaches to provide developmentally appropriate experiences. He is Level 2 certified in Throws, Jumps, Combined Events and Sprints, Hurdles, & Relays. He is the project writer for the Human Kinetics text Coaching Youth Track & Field and serves as Director of the USATF Level 2 – Youth Specialization Course. He served on the Team USA Coaching Staff for the 2007 & 2009 IAAF World Youth Championships. Lydum was the 1998 USOC delegate for the International Olympic Academy and has coached numerous All-Americans at the small college and youth levels.
  • David Pavlansky was the head boys' track and cross country coach at Boardman High School from 1999 –2011.  Twice named OAT&CCC District 1 Boys' Track Coach of the Year, Dave received the 2007 Fred Daffler State Coach of the Year Award for Boys' Cross Country.  In 2007 he was among 10 sprint coaches selected nationwide by the USATF to attend the Emerging Elite Coaches' School in Orlando, Florida.  During Dave’s tenure Boardman teams produced numerous All-Ohio athletes, Indoor and Outdoor state champions, as well as two Nike All-Americans.  Dave has USATF Level 2 certifications in Jumps, Endurance, and Sprints / Hurdles / Relays and he currently serves as USATF Regional Coordinator of Coaching Education for the Midwest and Upper East Coast.
  • Andrew Allden is currently the Head Coach of the Women’s Cross Country team at the University of South Carolina. He will be the school’s Endurance instructor.  He is a Level 1 and Level 2 Endurance instructor and has 18 years experience as a Division I collegiate coach.  He has coached a Division I Men’s National Champion in the 800m and in 2003 was named Southeast Men’s Coach of the Year.
